Do you wonder where our students go once they've completed their studies? Here is an update on one of our most recent graduates.
Laura Weaver, B.S. 2006
Laura is working for Jacobs Consultancy, a division of Jacobs Engineering Group, as a process engineering consultant in the Petroleum, Chemicals, & Energy Consulting field. She is currently working on a long-term project at a major refinery in the Chicagoland area to simulate and evaluate the emergency relief system.
"I had such a great experience in the CHE department at UR. I was able to take classes in a variety of topics to narrow down my technical interests in conjunction with my internship opportunities. My strong foundation in unit-ops classes led me to try out process engineering, which ended up being the perfect field for me, and I love my job!"
