LIVING IN ROCHESTER

Rochester is located between the southern shore of Lake Ontario and upstate New York's Finger Lakes recreational region. Rochester is a stimulating and progressive metropolitan community of more than one million people, representing the third largest urban area in New York State.

Rochester offers a wealth of cultural and recreational activities including the world class Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, art galleries, museums, historical sites, and fine restaurants. The Finger Lakes region offers spectacular hiking, boating, and skiing opportunities. Famous for wine making, the region is home to scores of award winning vineyards and wineries, most of which offer frequent tours and wine tastings. Rochester's new downtown sports stadium, Frontier Field, is home to the Rochester Rhinos, a major league soccer team, and to the Rochester Red Wings, the AAA affiliate of the Minnesota Twins.
