| (07/11) Xerox Fellows David Alvarado and Mike Horng completed their summer internship with us. We welcome both of them to return in the coming fall semester. (05/11) Congratulation to Jianbo Wu for being awarded a prestigious Elon Huntington Hooker Graduate Fellowship (2011-2012). (05/11) Katlyn Mallory obtained her graduate degree and began to work on fuel cell stack research at General Motors Research & Development, Honeoye Falls, NY. (03/11) Nitin Tyagi finished his graduate study and began to work at Sun Catalytix, a company researching on renewable energy located in Cambridge, MA. (01/11) Isthier Chaudhury went to Washington DC to meet First Lady Michelle Obama and to share his experiences studying abroad in Beijing, China (2009-2010). For details, read the local news. (09/10) Welcome Rajinder Singh and Amanda Neukirch to begin their graduate research in the group. Ms. Kelly Santos, a Brazilian National Council (CNPq) scholarship recipient, started her project this month. (09/10) Hongjun You, a CSC scholarship recipient, completed his research program with us. We thank him for his important contributions to our understanding on the growth mechanism of nanocrystals. (06/10) Nitin Tyagi and Minh Tran began their graduate research in the group. Elliot Yu started his summer research with us through Xerox Internship Program. Welcome! (05/10) Adam Gross, Samantha Lyu and Miao Shi received their M.S. degree. Congratulations! (03/10) Zhenmeng Peng successfully defended his PhD thesis entitled "Platinum Alloy Nanoparticles: Composition, Shape, Structure and Electrocatalytic Property". He will begin his postdoctorial training at UC Berkeley after his graduation. Congratulation! (08/09) Prof. Yang accepted the invitation to serve on the Editorial Advisory Board of Nano Today, a refereed journal with a 2008 Impact Factor of 8.795 (update-2009 IF: 13.273). (08/09) Rui Shen successfully defended her doctorial thesis entitled “Surface Modifications of Nanometer- and Micron- Sized Particles and Their Applications”. Congratulations! (06/09) Congratulation to Zhenmeng Peng for being selected as a 2009 Elon Huntington Hooker Fellow by the University of Rochester. (06/09) Isthier Chaudhury is selected as a recipient of the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship from the U.S. Department of State. Congratulations! |
