| (08/09) Prof. Yang accepted the invitation to serve on the Editorial Advisory Board of Nano Today, a refereed journal with a 2008 Impact Factor of 8.795. (08/09) Rui Shen successfully defended her doctorial thesis entitled “Surface Modifications of Nanometer- and Micron- Sized Particles and Their Applications”. Congratulations! (06/09) Congratulation to Zhenmeng Peng for being selected as a 2009 Elon Huntington Hooker Fellow by the University of Rochester. (06/09) Isthier Chaudhury is selected as a recipient of the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship from the U.S. Department of State. Congratulations! (06/09) We welcome Alex Boardman, a chemical engineering junior, to join the group as a Xerox summer intern. Alex will work on two projects: optimization of MEA fabrication for PEMFCs and thin film construction for solar cells. Isthier Chaudhury, a sophomore, will continue his research with us throughout the summer. (05/09) Congratulation to Ms. Qing Du (CHE, jointly with Prof. Ching Tang) and Miao Shi (MSC) for successfully passing their first year exams. (05/09) Zhenmeng's work on Pt-on-Pd oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) catalysts was published in the Journal of the American Chemical Society (2009, v131, p7542-7542) . (09/08) Alumni News- Dr. Xiaowei Teng (PhD, 06) finished his postdoctoral training at Brookhaven National Lab and began his own research career as an Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering at University of New Hampshire. (09/08) Alumni News- Dr. Shengchun Yang (PhD, 08; visiting student, 07-08), defended his thesis this month and began his independent research at Xi'an Jiaotong University. |
